Ashley Self
Ashley first came to the mat in 2005 when she skeptically agreed to attend a yoga class with her dad. Yoga provided a connection and healing that offered the freedom she was searching for at that time. After graduating from Auburn University and moving to Charlotte, Ashley wanted to deepen and share her yoga journey. She completed the Yoga of Thriving 200-hour Teacher Training at Yoga One during the Summer of 2009.
Having a passion for being with children, she also attended a Kid’s Yoga Teacher Training under Stephanie Keach and Jane Anne Tager at the Asheville Yoga Center in July 2009 and later became certified in Pre-Postnatal Yoga. What Ashley loves most about children is how they express themselves freely and are proud of who they are. Kid’s yoga provides a way for children to use their creativity and encourages them to remain connected. Ashley’s intentions for each class are to provide the children with healthy ways to explore and cope with emotions, develop a healthy mind body connection, and increase self-esteem while most importantly having fun.
Yoga continues to teach Ashley to live free of expectations and to be grateful for every breath. Each breath is an opportunity for growth. Ashley looks forward to experiencing that growth with you.

Flo Sheffield
In early 2005 I was drawn to yoga during a difficult time in my life. Through the physical practice of yoga, study of yogic philosophy and the discovery of Buddhism, I have been able to regain strength and clarity. I continue to study and practice the Eight Limbs of Yoga as well as the Noble Eightfold Path. I strongly believe in the benefit of a daily yoga and meditation practice in order to maintain peace and happiness in other aspects of life.
I am eternally grateful to my compassionate and kind teachers Stephanie Keach and Marsha McNeight. I have also been lucky to study with Nicole Sopko, Shala Worlsey, Kino MacGregor, Tim Feldman, Gina Minyard, Dharma Mittra, and Manju Jois.
In 2009 I received certification to teach Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Stephanie Keach at the Asheville Yoga Center. During that time I decided I was ready to further my knowledge and practice. I recently completed the 230-hour yoga teacher training program through the Asheville Yoga Center under the guidance of Stephanie Keach.
I hope to teach each class from a place of love and compassion, honoring the styles and methods I have studied. Thank you to all teachers past, present and future.
Rosalyn Nix
Rosalyn experienced her first Hatha yoga class in 2004. Suffering from chronic back pain caused by a car accident, she soon discovered that yoga provided a healthy alternative method to healing. Two years later she was introduced to Vinyasa yoga while participating in Baron Baptiste’s “40-Day Personal Revolution”, a program designed to challenge the mind and body to tap into unknown resources within oneself. During this 6-week program of daily yoga practice, meditation and healthy diet, Rosalyn developed the courage to stretch herself beyond imagination - physically, emotionally and spiritually. From this experience, she realized that yoga would become a lifelong practice and she wanted to share this gift with everyone.
Building on a foundation rooted in Vinyasa yoga, Rosalyn completed her 200-hour teacher training in Ashtanga yoga and began teaching in 2007. In 2009 she discovered Yin Yoga and found it to be the perfect complement and balance to the more active yang style practices. Her yoga style blends both a Yin sequence of long held passive poses, combined with an energetic flow influenced by Ashtanga and Vinyasa.
