Start at the beginning
Yoga is universal, and anyone can do it - no matter how young or old you are, no matter how unfit you consider yourself to be. Do those pictures of super-thin models in pretzel positions on the cover of magazines have your mind in knots? Do you think to yourself, “I’ll never be able to do that—I’m not flexible enough for yoga!”? Well, neither were those magazine models when they first started. Whether you're a couch-potato or a professional athlete, yoga will help you in so many ways. Your size and fitness level doesn't matter because yoga adapts to you. The idea is to explore your personal limits, not to strive for pretzel-like perfection. The truth is, in yoga, like anything else: you have to start somewhere. Allow yourself to be a beginner. Allow your body (and your mind) to ease into the practice and you’ll be amazed where it will take you.
We cater to first-time yogis
Don’t know where to begin? We have classes to suit all styles and needs. Students new to yoga are encouraged to start with one of our Basics classes. For those beginners ready to take their practice to the next level, our All Levels and Level 1 classes are the most natural progression. With time and a regular practice students will progress into more advanced Level 2&3 classes. Progression will depend on your individual commitment. We recommend students begin with a regular practice of 2 to 3 times per week.
Your first class is FREE
Come take your first class on us! We believe that everyone deserves a chance to try us out for free! We look forward to meeting you. You're going to love it!
We always welcome new students of all levels to the studio. Here are some guidelines to help you feel at home. Allow yourself plenty of time to find the studio for your first class. No pre-registration is required, however, you may register online for faster check-in before your first class. Click here to register online.
Please arrive 10 minutes before class starts so that you may sign-in, orient yourself and enter class in a relaxed way. We lock our yoga studio doors during class for the safety and security of our students. Our priority is to promptly begin and end each class on time.
Please refrain from wearing heavy perfumes and colognes. Leave your cell phones off, at home or in the car.
Refrain from eating approximately two hours before class (have a light snack if necessary).
Please inform the teacher if you have any injuries, illnesses or are pregnant. This is very helpful and important. Keep in mind that yoga should always practice under the supervision of a physician if there are health-related circumstances.
Bring along a towel or yoga rug for absorption and to prevent slipping for sweaty classes.
Free mat rentals are available, though we recommend purchasing your own for sanitary purposes.
Stay hydrated. Drink water as a way to facilitate your practice in keeping your muscles supple and eliminating toxins.
Keep practicing!!! Soreness after practice is totally normal, this is your body awakening. The more you practice, the better you will feel. A consistent yoga practice is recommended to receive the full benefits.
